About Mitsubishi L200

Mitsubishi has unveiled the new L200 in Thailand. The success comes Pickup 2015, after Germany, together with a modern 181 hp diesel.

In Thailand, where the Mitsubishi L200 is also built, the Japanese manufacturer has now introduced the fifth generation of the successful pickups. For nine years, the predecessor was on the market, now there is a new edition.

The design is the way of the Mitsubishi Evolution, not
revolution. The unusual round design of the front was indeed mitigated in favor of more edge and seriousness, the face is the new L200 (which is marketed in Thailand as "Triton") clearly visible a Mitsubishi.

The technique remains - pleasing for off-road enthusiasts - on a proven level. This means leadframe plus rear rigid axle and a rigid Zuschalt-wheel drive. After Germany a variant with the turn-off permanent all-wheel is again supplied with the Mitsubishi stand out from the local competition.

The best news, however, is the renovation under the hood. The - still offered - 2.5-liter DI-D finally gets a modern addition. Instead of the aged four-cylinder engine that was saved with new renovations through the years, there is the Mitsubishi L200 model year 2015, a new 2.4-liter direct-injection diesel engine, which puts it in a competitive 181 hp. This consumption is likely to do something tangible in things.

More Comfort
According to Mitsubishi, great emphasis was put on an improved noise and vibration insulation, also the chassis to have become more comfortable. Also a cozier character show the interior images. The slightly playful look of its predecessor, giving way to a serious look with clearly delineated instruments, center type information display and painted surfaces in the decorative elements.

Like its predecessor, it will be the new Mitsubishi L200 pickup with an extra-long cargo area in conjunction with the double cab, which measures approximately 1.8 meters - Standard for the usual mid-size double cab pickups are shelves with 1.5 to 1, 6 meters in length. The long flatbed divides the Double Cab with a half-cabin also become available in future, a single cab with even longer load floor there will also be continued.

Dates for the launch in Europe have not been called, the prices are not fixed yet. In the gallery we show you the new Mitsubishi L200 in detail.
